We are about a month away from Pride Week in Peel 2014!
Things are abuzz with excitement – and that is just growing by the day!
The Pride Week in Peel (PWIP) Planning Team has already been out in the community doing outreach, like at the Bread & Honey Festival and Race Against Racism. We’ll be at Malton Community Festival this coming week, and of course we’ll have a booth at WorldPride Toronto. We are always looking for volunteers who want to help with outreach efforts, whether that means distributing postcards in your networks, being at community event tables, spreading the word online, or more…! If you’d like to volunteer, simply fill out a volunteer application here.
Performer applications are still making their way in, so we are keeping the performer application form active online to allow more folks to express their interest in performing at the Festival on July 11th at Mississauga Celebration Square. And speaking of performances …. we are thrilled to be partnering with the Mississauga Art Council to host an open mic on Friday, July 4 at C Café (which is in Civic Centre), right by our Festival Venue!! More details to come shortly…!
